Early's Hush Puppies - Perfect pairing for a Fish Fry!
Ingredients
- 2 cups Early's Self-rising Cornmeal
- 6 cups Peanut Oil
- 1 tablespoon of salt
- 1 cup of boiling water
- 1 canned milk
- 1 egg
- 1 onion - grated
Directions:
Salt the Cornmeal
Then scald in the boiling water.
Add a small amount of canned milk to make it brown, then add the egg and onion.
Heat Peanut oil to cooking temp and drop mixture one spoonful at a time into the hot peanut oil.
Fry until golden brown.
